Biography

Robin Peel is an independent marketing and public relations consultant in Tucson, AZ.  She opened Robin Peel Marketing & Public Relations in 2002 to assist professional practices, small businesses, and non-profit organizations achieve success in promoting and publicizing their businesses. Over 30 years of experience in advertising, public relations and community service - 16 years of which were spent in health care marketing and business development - has prepared her to help businesses use a wide array of events and activities designed to generate publicity, sales leads and revenue. She focuses on coaching and consultation for start-up service businesses and small professional practices, especially in the arenas of complementary and alternative health care.

Robin has served on the local chapter board of the American Marketing Association and was co-founder of the local Health & Wellness Marketing Group. A guest  consultant for the Arizona Daily Star's Small Business Makeover series, she provided advice for businesses seeking help with marketing challenges. She is a member of the Tucson Consultants Association, a volunteer mentor for clients of  the Micro Business Advancement Center, and an invited speaker at local entrepreneurial groups.

As an active member of the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA), Robin led a monthly marketing roundtable there for two years. She now serves on ASBA's  Education Committee, organizing ASBA-sponsored business seminars for the Tucson business community. Robin has provided program development, consultation, and advisory services to numerous community agencies, including the American Cancer Society, Family Counseling Agency, Tucson Loan Chest, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic, Open Inn, Wings on Words, and ZUZIE Dance Company.

While a medical social work director at a local hospital, Robin developed Tucson's first community-based support group for cancer patients and their families. She initiated a lodging program for patients staying in Tucson for cancer treatment, and helped implement the first cancer education program in Arizona for patients and their families. Years later, as the rehabilitation marketing coordinator for Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital, she established an art gallery featuring the juried work of artists with disabilities.

More recent community service activities include: coordinating publicity for the local chapter of the Institute Of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and co-facilitating an IONS study group that examines intention, consciousness and other concepts presented  in the films "What The Bleep Do We Know?!" and its sequel, "Down the Rabbit Hole."  She continues to handle publicity for its successor, the "Beyond The Bleep Discussion Group."
